Keypad layout for dialing in phone app

Currently the layout and arrangement of backspace key and paste from clipboard key is different from the "normal" numeric keypad.
For me this feels uncomfortable, as the paste button or backspace button on top (right to the entered number) is barely accessable by my thumb. The arrangement of those buttons in normal numeric keypad is much better.
Is there a way to use the same/a similar arrangement for the dialing keypad in phone app instead of putting those buttons in the same row as the number?
