When recording a video in a landscape format, Jolla turned clockwise (to the right), the video is shown upside down after converting it to html5 supported format. Media-info shows that the original video have a rotation angle of 180 degrees.

When recording a video in a landscape format, Jolla turned anti-clockwise (to the left), the video is shown correctly after convertinged to html5 supported format. Media-info shows that the original video have a rotation angle of 0 degrees.

I'd suppose that the metadata telling the rotation angle should always be set to 0?

edit: removed "bug" from title, as there's one comment suggesting this can be seen also as a feature

If you want to confirm / see yourself, I've uploaded a clip in three formats (original mp4, h264 converted mp4, youtube automatic convert). Mobile link for Sailfish browser, desktop link

I think it's quite natural that the metadata reflects the orientation of the phone when recording or photo was made. So, not a bugbut a feature. And, by your own suggestion this should at most be tagged as 'possible-bug' cause it hasn't been confirmed by anyone.

Thanks, retagged. If this is a feature, it would be great to advice the users about it (to which way to turn the phone when shooting a landscape video). This could be told either in-app or at jolla.com/guide, to avoid recording videos upside down accidentally.
