I like to use Sailfish X a lot. But my Sony Xperia X f5121 was broken. Now I want to buy new phone. In my country it is very difficult to find version f5121 single sim, only dual sim f5122 in the markets. Can I use my purchased sailfish X with a new Sony F5122 or I have to search single sim Sony and buy sailfish X license again?

I have contacted Jolla and they replied: "Your Sailfish X license is tied to a) your Jolla account b) IMEI of your Xperia device. We can detach the license from the IMEI of your broken device after which you can sign in to your Jolla account from the new device. This couples the license to the IMEI of the new device.

To be able to proceed, we need the IMEI of the broken device, preferrably, if not possible then we might survive with your account name "accountname". Jolla Shop order number would also be good to have."

So no need to buy a new license.

"we might survive with your account name"?!? Can't they do a query on their database? What's the problem with only an account name, or the name or e-mail account tied to the purchase?

hi, I have read that f5122 work (https://together.jolla.com/question/169437/sailfish-x-with-sony-xperia-x-f5122-dual-sim/) but sadly I think you need a new licence.
