What will be the next device after Sony Xperia X [not a question]

Hello everyone, Is it known which device will be next? I can't imagine life without always on screen function from n9 where I could add information about: baterry level, temperature, date, time and all notifications from social media and phone. Any device without this is always a step back. Nokia n9 is still the best device which was ever made.

@LukasW there is nothing known about future devices or partners. jolla is super secretive about these things (and most other things). everything you read about future devices or partners are just wishes by the community, which, as the past shows, are ignored by jolla :(

Uhm, I think you could have ended your question after the first sentence.

As you can read in the latest blog entry (see section Sailfish X), the next phone which will be officially supported is going to be the Xperia X Dual SIM model (aka “F5122“).

Everything else said by Sami Pienimäki is less predictable than indicated measures in speeches of Mario Draghi. ;)

Another collaboration or partner phone could be through Purism, Librem.

@DarkTuring i would like to see that, but they are about openness, so jolla is kind of out.

You are right Lakutalo. I read the latest post from Jolla and as you wrote next supported device should be Xperia X dual SIM version. But Sami Pienimäki also mentioned about another device they are going to officialy support. I hope that it would be other nice looking and well made Sony device but with AMOLED/OLED and always on screen/display function will come back after such many years (as everybody knows Nokia introduced them in 2011). Jolla you are our last hope.

Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large.

The third supported device might also be something Sony has not released yet! That would be excellent news!

I hope Jolla uses enough resources to X to have it working as J1 and then the fingerprint reader .

The new Xperia XA2 presents some obvious characteristic interesting for a next Jolla Device : mid range but nevertheless performing camera, Snapdragon 660 and so on... https://www.phonearena.com/news/Sony-Xperia-XA2-hands-on_id101377
