Android apps on jolla - what is the future going to be like? [duplicate]

I understand that we are never going to have a google play on Jolla And I understand that the Android bit of Jolla is not very important for Jolla

And I LOVE Jolla But it becomes increasingly frustrating that apps that i naturally use on iPhone - i cannot use on my Jolla. So is there ever going to be a time when we are able to have the more modern android apps running on Jolla?

How does Jolla sees its continuation without quality applications for its device? p.s Somehow the Android apps i need to run on Jolla for daily life, are never on the alternative android stores

You can get Google Play installed. I've got it on my Jolla1 since the beginning of ownership.

You don't need a 'store'. Most apps are just apk archives that you can download e.g. from https://apkpure.com .

Yeah, well, how do you know, these APKs are safe to use? There is scum out there that wraps legit apps into malicious code.

It takes a minute or so to find out whether e.g. APKPure is reputable. If that's too much effort, iOS is the better choice.
