A minimalist Circadian Ambience Engine?

One of the features that is coming with Sailfish OS 3 is a light theme. My hope is that each ambience simply gets a setting that decides whether the ambience should use "day" or "night" mode.

With this in mind I would also like to suggest a new section in the display settings. A minimalistic way would be to specify two points in time when "day" changes to "night" and back. ...and a toggle that decides if this circadian mode should be used.

Suggestions are great, but wouldn't it be too early to suggest when we don't know yet how they have implemented the mentioned feature at all. What if they have done it a better way? IMHO, we should all wait to shower suggestions until EA hits the repos.

If it is just done by an ambience, you could use Situations app to change ambience based on a time situation.

@naytsyrhc - Situations is a powerful tool, but some people will prefer a less complicated one.

A light/dark system variable could be used by apps, such as navigation.
