Hi,

I have a Sailfish X.

I want to install and play Motorsport Manager 2 Mobile from yalp/aptoide/any android store..

The app in question required android 6.0.

Is there any workaround that will allow me to run that app on my Sailfish X (Sony X)?

In other words, is there anyway that I can run android application that require minimum version 6.0 on my Xperia device?

If not.. any word on when we'll have such possibility?

Andrei, Thanks.

Yes, install back Android. Otherwise, Sailfish OS 3 will have support for higher Android versions on devices allowing this, nothing was said about which version but I guess at least 7.0 for the Xperia X. SFOS 3 should be out in third quarter 2018, and according to Jolla's previous records I guess this means around September 30.

They didn't announce that for Sailfish 3, they said that they'll work on it during 2018, so I wouldn't expect it before 2019.

It's listed in the Sailfish OS 3 features at https://jolla.com/sailfish3/

Oh right, lol. Given the fact that 6 months after the Sailfish X release, bluetooth still doesn't work properly, I'm really skeptical about having all that list in 6 months. But as usual, let's dream until Sept 30 x)
