On my phone Cyrillic letters are presented correctly. I suppose you have downloaded some files with tags in CP1251 encoding. Change it to UTF-8 and they will be presented in proper a way.

I suppose CP1251 is the case although I haven't check it. Anyway, windows players show it correctly, maybe the are auto-detecting encoding or something. Just thought maybe there are some tricks to enforce using Cyrillic encoding for non-unicode

Windows players show it correctly because Windows with Russian locale uses CP1251. Anyway audio files in Runet in most cases have tags in this encoding and have issues on Linux-based distributives. I use EasyTAG on my Linux to change the encoding. But autodetect of encoding sounds like a good idea.

Unfortunately I don't believe this is going to be implemented by Jolla at least in nearest future.. Just hoped I could tweak tracker config or hidden media player config to specify encoding..
