juicessh additional keyboard for special keys not visible

Hi, I want to use the juicessh app (2.1.4) on Sailfish X 2.1.4.14 for ssh/mosh. To use screen, vim and other apps i need the ctrl and esc key. For this juicessh has an additional popup keyboard. If i click on the background to activate the keyboard i see something happening behind the sailfish keyboard - but the additional buttons are not shown. Same issue on Jolla1 with 2.1.0.11.
Do you know if this kind of additional android keyboard can work in sailfish?
My use case is "mosh" - for using ssh over unstable connections
jollaticktack ( 2018-05-13 16:17:02 +0300 )editIf you tap on the background often enough the special keyboard will eventually appear, but tapping any of the special buttons causes the main keyboard to close so it's frustrating to use. This is either a bug in the app (although it works fine on a Nexus 7 2013 tablet) or more likely a bug/weakness in the Sailfish Android support.
