Hi, I have a question, I want use something different than (vi command)because I have a little problems with remember all commands to write file or what to do to use write mode, so I think about something like gedit in Linux where I can edit files as root and make changes.

So anyone know something similar?

You can give "Editor" (Jolla store) a try. I usually use nano. (devel-su pkcon install nano) via ssh.

I also use and prefer nano especially over ssh. Nano can be a bit buggy when used directly on the device.

Or, use a cheat sheet for Vi; http://www.atmos.albany.edu/daes/atmclasses/atm350/vi_cheat_sheet.pdf or this kind; http://www.viemu.com/vi-vim-cheat-sheet.gif

i would also prefer nano or micro over ssh.

I'm using tIDEditor by eekkelund, which is the best I've found so far.
