Downloading outdated SFX images
As some may have noticed, recently I asked a question on here concerning the rather excessive power usage Sailfish X appears to exhibit, ever since I have upgraded from version 2.1.4: https://together.jolla.com/question/193044/xperia-x-2000-mw-power-consumption-fast-charging-issues/
In an attempt to pin-point a potential cause for this behavior, I decided to reflash older versions of Sailfish, including 2.1.4 in an attempt to observe, whether the power draw might have changed in-between versions for unknown reasons. However, up to this point, I have been unable to find an official source for older Sailfish X images.
Thus, I would like to ask whether someone might be able to help me out, either by pointing me towards an official source I may have missed, or by providing these images themselves, should non such official source exist.
Thank you very much for your assistance
Edit: As noted below, it appears that, for unknown reasons, Jolla is seemingly not capable in providing previous versions of their software, even for research purposes, as is the case here. Their inability to meet what by most would be considered the bare minimum of support when selling an operating system is, frankly, disappointing to me.
you can always.downdate.using.terminal
search here for.manual.update then use a lower version..

My question was specifically concerning flashable images, due to me trying to reduce as many variable as possible in an attempt to pin point what might be the cause for the excessive power draw. Downgrading via the terminal on-device would sadly introduce more potential variables, thus making any findings questionable.
ChrisX ( 2018-11-19 13:02:16 +0200 )editI don't know where to get but you don't have the original image anymore. The initial version of SFX you've downloaded from the Jolla shop?
Dreej ( 2018-11-19 22:58:19 +0200 )editNo, I sadly have not kept a copy of my previously downloaded images. I (foolishly) presumed that Jolla, just like most other providers of operating systems would be willing to provide older versions for this very reason.
Even companies like Xiaomi offer their customers the ability to download year old versions of MIUI for their devices. The fact that Jolla, a company that does love mentioning their open source roots (even while not being FOSS themselves) is incapable of providing what in the industry is deemed the bare minimum, i.e. providing previous versions as a fall-back in case of issues, is disappointing to say the least.
ChrisX ( 2018-11-21 13:58:13 +0200 )editDon't know if helpful or not, but I know about source files here - http://releases.sailfishos.org/sources/ I guess if you know what you're doing, you could make imgs? (I don't know what I'm doing, so can't confirm...)
