Icons on top [duplicate]
Hello,
i'm using Sailfish OS since yesterday on my Xperia X. One thing i miss is the clock and icons (like Wi-Fi, battery and GPS location) at the top of the display while apps are open like it Android and iOS have. NO i'm not requesting the feature because i want Sailfish OS to be like the bigger two mobile operating systems, but the information is very useful for me and i can't get rid of it. E.g. i don't see battery status while i have a messenger open and can't determine if i need to charge soon.
I would be very pleased if this feature will be implemented in future releases, at least as optional with possibility turning it on in the settings.
You can just peek. Since you already use the phone its not a big deal to slightly swipe your finger and then back to return to the app.

luen ( 2018-12-11 21:31:33 +0200 )editIt's better that statusbar is hidden in apps. Because no need to see them always, it only wastes important space of screen, android and ios developers are stupid ;D As other says peak is solution.
I do not want to sailfish looks more same as android and ios because it's ugly! Jolla should forget this idea no reason to waste resources for this. No need even "option" to choose would you like show always statusbar or hidden in apps.
Jk ( 2018-12-11 22:57:51 +0200 )editI woud appreciate also to have a constant status bar! The screen of XperiaX is quite big, so we would not loose any space. Windows Phone had also this feature:-) And once you get used to it, it is terrible to conver to swiping, because it need additional energy and discomfort...
