Hello, can someone tell me how the Samsung smartwatches work with Sailfish? I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 46 mm. When I install Sailfish again, I want to be able to use it with my smartwatch. Does anyone have experience?

Wellcome to a club of non-working services with Sailfish phones! I have 46 mm watch, too. Galaxy wearables app does not work in Sailfish X ( min Android 5 is needed). I set my hope to Amazfish app *) if it could work some day with SFOS + Galaxy Watches ... Looking forward to some working solution asap.

Also, as you perhaps noted, android apps like Galaxy Wearables are not able to open bluetooth connection. Thus, Jolla is at the moment sure to connect people, but it disconnects people and services. :)

It's time to revise this feature-request again. Va bene.

Have you ever thought that some Android or iOS users might jump to Sailfish OS, when such a many important of the apps should work also in Sailfish, too. Certo!

I have heard that Xperia 1 could be one alternative for SFOS porting .... Well, this might be a hypothesis at the moment, but the facts are:

  • xperia 1 costs roughly 500 - 700 euros.
  • unlocking of bootlockloader is an irreversibel action.
  • android 10 has gestures in it's operation. Really?

If I bought that Xperia 1 some day, I would not unlock bootlockloader if the corresponding sfos app proposal would not equal the android side proposal.

Also, if Xperia XA2 and 10 are left out the equal progress than yet hypotetical xperia 1 could have, the choice for jumping from / to is not my alternative. This XA shall be my last SFOS phone.

Jolla, you have now catched to ball. What are you doing in the next steps?
