Add a symbol on the app icon showing an update is available
This was actually my girlfriends idea that when there's an update available for an app, a small symbol would appear on the app icon.
We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

Wizah ( 2014-01-27 09:57:03 +0200 )editYes, I like the idea.. just make sure that the updateable status is not mixed to the greenish Android-logot that might also appear in the future to Launcher icons of apps that are not running in native SailfishOS platform..
foss4ever ( 2014-01-27 12:04:49 +0200 )editSome blue box shadow might be nice indicator of available update.
Nux ( 2014-01-28 12:17:36 +0200 )editThis I think would be a nicer way to tell the user about updates because usually I don't need separate notification about updates. Maybe separate critical app updates and other updates. It would notify only for security updates on the notification page but otherwise only using the icon.
