How to move Whatsapp backup file from BB10 to Sailfish 3 on Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra

When I try to copy files to android_storage subdirectories for whatsapp i get an error message telling me that I cannot copy files there. The search does mention this but i cannot get the solution (in search) to work
How are you trying to copy these files?, file browser?, ssh?, more details please.
In most cases, it is because you need to set permission to copy stuff from/to certain directories. I'm referring to 'devel-su'.

The BB10 device presents as a USB MAss Sotrage voilume and the Xperia Xa2 Ultra presents as device "Xperia XA2 Ultra - Dual SIM" when connected to laptop. I tried copying files from one device to another but this is not allowed ie when i drag and drop the whatsapp backup file to the andriod_storage\whatsapp\databases dir on the xperia device noting happens .. I have also tried a command promt window on the laptop and using SCP to copy to the andriod_storage dir on the Xperia having . This too does not copy the file to the target directory.

Okay, rather than try copying directly from device to device, copy your files to your desktop and then to your other device, I believe that should work.
