I've searched, looked at "how tos" and looked at FAQs - but I can't discover how to install Android Support on my device - it just doesn't feature in my settings or in the Jolla store. I'm new to Sailfish, and can only assume I'm making a basic error - so I admit defeat, how do I do this, please?

did you buy a license and you are logged into the right account ?then go to jolla store and check category 'jolla'. If it doesn't show up, try rebooting.

The phone is second hand, I set up a new Jolla account having reset the device when I received it, and I assumed I inherited the license with the phone - is this not how it works? I've rebooted plenty of times, Jolla category shows only: weather, documents, notes, calendar, calculator, media, mail.

Ouch. I am not sure, but I think the license is tied to the account, maybe even an account-device combination. I'd ask the seller for the username and password of the account (normally I'd expect to get this anyways if the account is part of the sale).

Buying a license fixed the situation immediately (on re-boot an OS update was offered and Android Support option appeared) - seemed a cleaner fix than relying on the previous owner, who had in all fairness offered to leave their account signed on. I had reset the device as I didn't want any possible conflicts with the previous owner's devices or activities. It would be a useful feature if when you checked for updates, and the license was not in place, the phone prompted you to buy a license. Other secondhand phone owners will presumably run up against this issue.

The correct procedure is to contact Jolla customer care for license transfer.
