Is there a maximum number of WiFi tethered clients?
I plan to use WiFi tethering on my Sailfish phone as the main connection to the internet. At the moment it seems that I can only connect 2 devices at the same time.
Setup:
Xperia XA2 (SFOS 3.0.3.8 Hossa) running WiFi tethering (sharing 4G unlimited plan)
Jolla Tablet (SFOS 3.0.3.8 Hossa) - client
- Gemini (SFOS 3.0.3.8 Hossa) - client
- Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet (Ubuntu 19.04) - client
At the moment (using the X1 Tablet for building SFOS Apps not yet installing correctly from openrepos), I have to turn WiFi off/on on the Tablet or Gemini. I couldn't find anything on this in the connman main.conf docs. or so, nor on TJC. I don't remember this behavior from when I used my Jolla 1, but don't pin me on that.
have similar issues. when third device enters network, other looses it...

But I successfully feed three devices at the same time using my Jolla C (running Sailfish OS Hossa, also worked with Oulanka) as a (wifi tether) server: (1) Thinkpad (Debian GNU/Linux 9.8), (2) XA2 (running Sailfish OS), (3) Raspberry pi (used as a music streamer). I am very impressed how well it works using 4G. With the XA2 (running Sailfish OS Oulanka) as a server, I remember I successfully managed to connect the thinkpad and the Jolla C. Did not try with the Raspberrypi. However, the connection breaks after some time. It is as if there is a standby funtion behind. The connection restores after switching on the XA2 screen. I have not tried again yet after the Hossa update.
