I want to work for you!
Hej, Jolla!
I want to work for you! I love SFOS and it's potential! I have closed down my own company in the meantime and am searching for a new mission and I believe, that SFOS would be a wonderful mission to work on.
If someone is interested: I am a mechanical engineer and BA of international business administration. My fluent languages are German, English and Serbian, but i get around with Russian and French, too. I have bought my first two Jollas in 2015, and I love it, although I use other phones for productive work, if you have read my precedent article. I know how to use the terminal, but I am not a programmer. Still, I know how to compile software and how to tweak around Linux in some way. My MUA of choice is mutt, I just love the fast way, how it works.
I already have a job description: Non-diplomatic fighter for usability and the wishes of users. SFOS can only prevail, if it is useful. And in comparison to other OS's, it needs to be more useful - in more than one topic: security. And I feel that this is missing among the programmers and process designers. Otherwise, many functions that users have wanted, would already be implemented.
I still need to find my way here around, until I will have sold out everything, but I think that I will be very mobile until end of year. And you will find a loyal and hard working person in me, who knows to work in teams and lead people. In the meantime I would like to learn a lot about Jolla itself and get into it.
If you are interested, it would be a pleasure and honor to hear from you!
Cheers, Dejan
I don't know if this really is comparable, but Jolla already has a community manager.
bionade24 ( 2019-07-16 18:20:58 +0200 )editMaybe start to learn QML and develop the killer apps you need ;-)
rgrnetalk ( 2019-07-16 18:31:07 +0200 )editCommunity manager is diplomatic fighter. Sometimes I also feel like a bit less diplomacy and a bit more fighting wouldn't harm :)
ElderOrb ( 2019-07-16 18:34:31 +0200 )edit@rgrnetalk: It's about the system and native Jolla apps, not the apps and patches by contributors in the stores.
ds1979 ( 2019-07-17 00:00:32 +0200 )edit@ds1979 "system and native Jolla apps" incidentally also need developers to improve them ...
