What are my options to get from LineageOS (Android 9) to Sailfish?

HI,

I have an Xperia XA2 Ultra dual system.

It has LineageOS "llama" on it - which is Android 9.

What are my options to get from this to Sailfish 3.1 ?

I see there are warnings that trying to go from Android 9 to Sailfish can brick the phone, which I obviously don't want to do.

Can you downgrade to Android 8.1 using Sony's Emma tool? I never tried this so I don't know if it works.

Alternatively FlasTool can do it too.
