I recently switch to SFOS X on a Xperia XA2, with the french telecom provider Bouygues Telecom B&Y. The sim card is the only one used by this newly acquired phone. 4G works perfectly, but I can't send nor receive MMS.

I use the default configuration :

I also changed the message size to 'medium' as adviced by the sailfish documentation, but nothing better.

Any advices ?

Do you use the last update of SFOS ? Do you use XA or a XA2 ?

Same issue with Free as provider on the Pro¹ running SFOS 3.2.1.20. Sending MMS always fail. Receiving MMS sometimes work, but I haven't identified a pattern (not even the message size or the sender).

On my Jolla C and Xperia X Compact, sending did fail often too, but would eventually work after multiple attempts. However, that was two SFOS upgrades back, I don't know if it would still work in 3.2.1.20 since my only phone running this version is the Pro¹ currently. The Xperia is dead so I can't try; I'll try to update the Jolla C and try MMS in the coming days.

I was in the same configuration and observe the same issue, to fix that I have removed the proxy adress and port from the setting and it's working now. I hope this will help you.

Hi, My operator is also B&Y. I had the same isue after switching xperia x to xa2 plus. I solve this issue by switching , in mms acces point ( point d'accès mms)"protocol : ip" by "protocol : ipv6" + reeboot

May be is the same kinds of troubles for the sms ? So try this:

  • put the phone in airplane mode
  • restart with sailfish utilities the network (if you have not Sailfsh Utilities, install it from the Jolla harbour shop)
  • leave the airplane mode,
  • wait the 4G come back,
  • try again to send a MMS and/or receive a MMS.

You can also try to reboot the phone.

I already made this process and/or reboot the phone. When I try to download a received MMS, it just say "download..." in an infinite loop until a time passed. When I try to send a MMS, same kind of loop : "Sending..." until the fail. It seems it should work because it works for @kayoux and @clementb, even if they are using a X serie's instead of a X2 serie's...

Hello, I EXACTLY have the same problem as you. I am also a subscriber at Bougues Telecom in France, and since 19 September I can not send or receive MMS. Everything is as for you, in the least detail! I contacted them, but they tell me that the problem comes from an update of Android, which I doubt because I have not noticed ... Have you managed to solve your problem, and if so, how? Thank you !
