I have to present Sailfish OS and our app next week to an group of people in a meeting room. Unfortunately an external screen is not supported yet by Sailfish OS but maybe something like Vyser for Android. Has someone an idea? Maybe a VNC server on the Sailfish device? Maybe the sales people of Jolla have a solution, they could provide?

A camera is not a good solution, because of the hands on the device during the presentation. And the quality is usually not good enough.

I hope your presentation will be a success!

I understand you have been working with your application quite a while.

is using the emulator from the SDK an option?

In the first part of the presentation I want to present the user experience of Sailfish OS itself. In the second part of the presentation I want to demonstrate my app with many system integration features like address book and calendar integration. The simulator is quite limited, because almost no apps are installed.

i see. well, you could manually add apps from OpenRepos i guess but that's lot of work just for a demo. and I don't remember from last time running it if the Jolla store was installed / installable

Another possibility would be using the VirtualBox VM of the SDK. Although the capabilities are limited.

Check your network connection and adjust cast settings to match your hw abilities. This sw is very fast 😅

Sounds interesting, but doesn't install on Xperia (gives: Fatal error: nothing provides libsystemd-daemon.so.0 needed by screencast-0.2.5-10.10.1.jolla.armv7hl)

@MystIsland Whilst installs upon Xperia XA2 it doesn't upon Xperia X unless terminal is used to resolve dependencies:pkcon install-local screencast-0.2.5-10.10.1.armv7hl.rpm

A camera can be a very good solution. Please have a look at this early jolla video. Good luck for your presentation.

Multiple other great presentations about sailfish you can enjoy in the channel made by Leszek.

Thanks for your motivating words. We will definitely produce and publish a video about our device with Sailfish OS. Yes, the video from Jolla was very good, because it was professionally produced.
