Hi all.

I purchased SailfishOS for Xperia XA2 Plus and got it flashed and running on the Device.

Installed successfull Whatsapp, Viber and Twitter on SailfishOS and they work perfect beside one big Problem !

I am not able to Upload Videos or Pictures from the Gallery in SailfishOS.

Checked the Permision Rights in Viber and it show that it can access Media in the Storage. So Viber is not the Problem.

Looks like SailfishOS is blocking somehow the Access to the Gallery. How can this be unlocked on a Case by Case permision ?

I am happy with security that SailFishOS provieds but there should be a possibility to allow temporary access to Storage to upload Pictures or Videos when writting a Tweet or a Message to a frriend !

Also from inside SailfishOS Gallery APP when i want share a Picture to any of this Apps is not possible despite the fact that i can start them from the start screen. The are not listed in the Selection but they should be !

How can i Upload and Share Pictures and Videos from the SailfishOS Gallery to other Apps and how can i temporary send pictures from the Gallery inside Twitter, Whatsapp and Viber ?

Should i fill out a Customer Bug Request ?

For sharing you can install Aliendalvik Control from coderus. You can get it from openrepos.net https://openrepos.net/content/coderus/aliendalvik-control

Now everything works perfect like expected !

You are a great Man and an Amazing Ambassador for Non Android OS like SailfishOS ! I watched followed your Video "How to Install SailfishOS on Xperia XA2" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI0D7Op3zAI and decided to Buy a Xperia XA 2 Plus and order SailfishOS from Jolla. Now i am proud owner of a non Android OS !

Big compliments to you for all your hard Work and ofcourse also big thanks go to coderus who wrote this amazing piece of code !

SailfishOS should implement this Code in next Version or even Hire CODERUS to fix this Problem.

Oh! Handy tool. Didn't know about this till now. Guess I need to spend more time on Open Repos and less on the official Jolla store. When I go to try and download it via Storeman on my Xperia X, it says, "No versions available". Anyone else come across this?
