Aptoide cannot update or install apps, cannot save to sdcard

This weird behavior did occur some days ago. I have two XA2 with 3.1.0.11, both practically with the same configuration, let's call them here A and B. On A I can install and update apps from Aptoide with no problem, but not on B. With the help of putty I compared all rights, like in /media/sdcard/<sd card="">, in folder Android on the sd card and so on. (From F-Droid I can install apps which also use the sd card.)</sd>

I also tried to uninstall Aptoide and then reinstalled it again. No help...

Now I'm out of ideas what could be wrong. Has probably anyone an idea how to fix it?

Best regards, Uwe.

The (true) location of an SD-card is at /run/media/nemo/ since SailfishOS 2.2.0, consistently use only that (instead of the old, now symlinked location /media/sdcard/).

The configuration data of one of your two Aptoide installations may be incorrect.
You can delete it per SailfishOS Settings -> Apps > -> Aptoide -> Clear data, but do tap on Force stop and Clear cache there, first.

Hi Olf, thank you for your hint. Unfortunately it did not help. The rights in /run/media/nemo/ are

drwxr-xr-x 9 nemo nemo 4096 Nov 1 15:00 e3253...

and on the sd card in folder Android

drwxrwx--- 8 media_rw media_rw 4096 Aug 25 18:51 Android

Those are exactly the same with my other XA2 Best regards, Uwe.

Well, there certainly is a configuration difference between your devices, otherwise they would not behave differently. Most likely you made or caused this difference: Reconsider and check what you have altered in the last couple of weeks.

If you cannot find what differs, one can always use the sledgehammer method: Reflash / factory reset the affected device and start anew.

Sledgehammer? In the end the front glass could be smashed ... ;-) Eventually I found the error. Whatever the reason was, on the sd card in folder Android.aptoide the subfolder apks was gone. I made a new one with the correct owenr and rights, and now it's working again. Best regards, Uwe.
