Did someone already successfully install Sailfish X on an XA device running Android 9?

So I have this second hand XA2 currently running Android 9, the bootloader is unlockable and I would like to throw a little money at Jolla – but their instructions, dated February 2019, are strongly advising against flashing Android 9 devices and suggesting to downgrade; 3.2.0 release notes say I can. I'm inexperienced and hence a little hesitant.

Has anybody already successfully installed 3.2.0 on an XA device running Android Pie?

I did, but fingerprint doesn’t work: https://together.jolla.com/question/216242/xa2-plus-fingerprint-scanner-not-working/

I am back to OmniRom, looking a way to tool back to Android 8, without a Windows PC.

I reinstalled Xperia firmware(52), and back to SFOS. Sadly no fingerprint.

maybe does it matter the fact it is the plus version?

@itdoesntmatt it could be, still no statement from Jolla. I am back not to Xperia Firmware, I have tried a few restore but still no luck. My only hope is to find an original firmware with Android 8, but could not find any.
