Request: English keyboard add long-press æ ligature character

I use a mixture of English and Nordic languages in text, and it would be helpful if the a-e ligature (æ - Unicode U+00E6) were added to either the a or e key long-press pop-up on the English keyboard. It is used in Danish, Norwegian, and Icelandic and while the Swedish å, ä, and ö are available on the English long-press pop-up under a and o and the Icelandic áðéíóúýþö are available under adeiouyt and o respectively, the æ is not available. It is also useful to those who like to use ligatures in English when writing encyclopædia and mediæval (it would also be useful to have the ligature œ (U+0153), but that is not the subject of this request)
Obviously, a work-around is to switch to to a Danish or Norwegian keyboard to enter this character, but as all the other characters in common use in the Nordic languages are available on the English keyboard, it would be helpful if the ligature æ were available as well.
I hope this is a simple request that can easily be incorporated in the next release of Sailfish OS.
