Does there exist allready SFOS ver 3.3.0.4 allready? I swear there was a bug correction request for it here, because I did ask for it that what the f..? But the question was disappeared mystically asap. Also the following https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011115540 points allready to release 3.3.0 ... However, we are very near it as prerelease.

Probably the update is just around the corner and someone did a jump start. After all releases are not a top secret thing so there's no reason not to update manuals couple days ahead.

I don't understand this impatience. It will be ready when it is ready and come first as an Early Access release. Not trying to be nasty, I am impatient too. But this topic doesn't make it come faster in any way.

It's like a post about how you are wanting New Years Eve any day now.

This article describes how encryption [1] works on Sailfish 3.3.0 release. The users of 3.2.1 can use this article as well.

  • The 1st revision of Sailfish encryption was released at the end of 2019 [Sailfish OS 3.2.0]. The 2nd revision will be released in the 1st quarter of 2020 [Sailfish OS 3.3.0].

So, within 2 weeks :)

@JSEHV Thank you for nice words. :)

@Marcel Pol Prego. However litterally it was not just a question when the update shall come?

The only thing I learned: Just start to backup your home partition for crypto! I found out that restic (https://restic.net) works: just get the restic_0.9.6_linux_arm.bz2 from https://github.com/restic/restic/releases/tag/v0.9.6 - unpack it and put it somewhere into the bin tree (like e. g. /usr/local/bin).
