Making a backup of android data ?

I'm thinking about a reflash of my XA2 in hope that the problems with missing pictures from Dropbox, OneDrive and also Nextcloud would be solved with that.

But: I have some android data that I like to keep, for example savegames that can't be stored by the Google Play Services.

Is it possible to move/copy the android folder space to the sd card to save these data? Or is it even possible now to run android apps from there now?

I'm on SFOS 3.3.

This is only tested for AlienDalvik 4.4 (Xperia X) but maybe it helps.
Have a look at /opt/alien/data/data. User data of Android apps should be there. You'll probably have to do some digging though, e.g. Firefox profiles reside in org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/.

accessing these app specific directories requires root privileges (developer mode)

I think it's possible. Not sure whether you can run the apps so that the data files would work directly from the sd card etc. but yes you can copy the Android folder or specific com.youandroidapp folders or any folder the app uses to locally store the data. Then copy pasting this data back when you install the app again.

For instance I have this same case on Fallout Shelter that I like to play. I just copy the com.falloutshelter folder from Android side, fresh install the app and paste the copy back. At least on my cases, they've been working alright.

I personally use PC to copy and transfer files since it's easier but sometimes also with File Browser app made by Kari (available also on Jolla store).
