I tried to install telegram-desktop following the instructions provided by Rinigus: https://github.com/sailfishos-flatpak/main but the download stops and says there is not enough space. Settings storage says I have 14.7GB user data and 950MB system data available. Any pointers? TIA ...newbie out-of-his-depth..... For me Depecher is fine for most things, I just want to see if I can call with tg-desktop and I'd prefer to stay native.

As pointed by coderus, its best to use official TMO thread. Your error sounds like you didn't use --user in flatpak install commands, as specified in README.

Enter command under neno instead of root.

thanks xbt123ufo, that seems to be it, installed ok, but when I tap the Tg icon it says "application finished with exit code 134". XA2ultra, SF3.3. I'll post this at TMO

Go to the bottom of the thread on github to see some adjustments for Telegram Desktop. Good luck!

OK, I didn't read some of the fine print; it's only possible to install flatpak on Xperia Tama range for the moment (XZ2, 3) and I have an XA2, so I suppose I'll have to wait.

Fine print has changed in time, see current version at https://github.com/sailfishos-flatpak/main#supported-devices . In short, SFOS 3.3 should work and some ported devices with SFOS 3.2. Sony Tama range is used for development and has support from SFOS 3.2

Flatpak works with my Xperia 10. I have installed Telegram Desktop.

That's great to hear. Can you make voice calls? If yes, then I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

You need to follow https://github.com/sailfishos-flatpak/main to the bottom to make Telegram Desktop work. There is a variable, that one needs to add.

I made a call, but the other guy didn't pick up the phone. At least, I have heard it ring. :-)

Update: It works. :-) Unfortunately, adding attachments or saving media doesn't work in Telegram Desktop through Flatpak, yet.
