All contacts stay available after deleting Nextcloud account that stopped syncing probably

I deleted my Nextcloud Account in my XA2 with latest SailfishOS to renew it, after something got stuck at contact syncing. After doing that, all (or at least most) of the contacts remained in the address book. There is no other account with address book function in the accounts on my phone. Is there another way to clean up the address book (without removing all the call history) then removing all the contacts manually before adding the account again? Or is there a better way to repair the somehow broken database?
