I do experience strange responses on my sailfish device trying to reach the new forum.

sailfish browser (cert error)code :

fennec (data error):

No big machine here atm. This morning it was still okay. Somebody else experiencing? Or what is this now?

Experiencing the same. According to what I was able to lookup it seems to be a problem with the OCSP request that checks if the SSL certificate of the forum has been revoked. Apparently there's no status reported from the service but it's required by some configuration setting.
WebCat maybe implements certificate checks of this kind less thorough.
I seem to remember that the forum uses a Let's Encrypt cert.

It is up again!

Yes. Maybe. I do remember that the cert of forum.sailfishos.org was valid only for a very short amount of time. And the new one also, up to 10/30. So it could have been that. (edit: as today is 08/01, most probably then ;) )

But why did Fennec then report 'content error'?

And why does Jolla only have certs valid for 3 months only???

Propably because of this https://letsencrypt.org/. Seems quite common. My Jolla 1 with version 3.2.1.20 works, but still shows warning triangle in address bar.
