It would be nice to have "priority" and "resource name" settings for xmpp accounts

most probably can be modified on the command line with mc-tool, but UI with "advanced" options is always welcome

  • ignore errors for selfsigned certificates on server - is possible set by mc-tool, but UI check is welcome.

  • set display name - I set this by mc-tool, but reverted back to XMPP .. I have more XMPP accounts ..

I have a change pending right now that adds server, port, and "Ignore SSL Errors" options for XMPP accounts. Adding priority would be useful, I agree. I've made a note to look at putting that in as well.

For the resource name, would it be sufficient if we just set it as 'Jolla' for all XMPP accounts, rather than putting it in the UI? You can always change it by commandline too, if you have too many Jollas signed in to tell them apart.

Jolla or Jolla phone would be sufficient for me.

setting 'Jolla' as default (with no UI to change that) would prevent me connecting to Jolla to the same account (but I could change the string:resource with mc-tool using CLI)

setting Jolla as default should be fine for the moment (as a sitenode: most vendors tend to add a random string per device). As for priority: the main point is, that it should vary substantially between the different statūs. So if configurable, it should be per status.
