native sailfish app io swisscom https://io.swisscom.ch/en/introduction

iO lets you unify the ways you keep in touch. Make calls and exchange messages and images using just one, single app. It’s who you are contacting that matters, not how you contact them. iO puts people first, not numbers. And with a unified history, enjoying any conversation is straightforward and fun.

Smart, safe and simple, iO makes staying close to the people who matter easier than ever before.

Probably you should ask this on Swisscom askbot... oh wait... :D

Anyway we have this feature already in People app.

Swisscom iO seems to be proprietary and closed source (https://io.swisscom.ch/content/dam/io/en/legal/Terms%20of%20Use%20iO.pdf) so I guess neither Jolla nor the community can help ...

Thank you Manankanchu for the hint "Swisscom iO seems to be proprietary and closed source" question answered, shame !

There is already a way to gather all conversations to same view in the phone by linking differen contact-types (phone number, GTalk, and so on) together.

If you have a phone number, GTalk account, etc in the People app, select one of them and then (when the "card" is open) select "link" from the pulley menu. Then select all relevan contacts that should be grouped together.

If you open People app you will see a "Recent" label and under that you will see a list of contacts that interacted with you (no matter it was a call, an SMS or a chat).

When it comes to messaging (SMS and chat at the moment) you can open Messages app and there you will see all the conversations you had with a specific contact, given that you merged all the contact details of the same person in the same contact.

That should give you the same features as this I/O has (I have never seen the app so I need to rely on your explanation of the features)
