here maps shows miles en yards, as most people in Europe, i would like to have the metric system. maby the maps app settings could be made available via settings/ apps

If you Change the language (in german for example) the metric System appears in maps

all I wanted to say is, that it depends on the chosen language. but as it was said in the answer to the question @pnuu linked, this bug will be fixed
