How to manage contacts from command line?

I have a quite large number of contacts (600+) and after migrating from N9 many of them are duplicated/unlinked, so I have now more than 900 entries. Is there a way how to modify contacts (adding/deleting/linking) using command line?

Just dump it to a file and use your favourite text editor of choice.

Beware: after importing PIM data to Jolla you have already lost most of your data (AFAIK fields Jolla could not understand are no more there). So get back to N9 and N900, export data from there, merge and store in a safe location on your PC and a few backup locations.

Check this thread for partial solutions. Exporting them, do the needed processing elsewhere, remove all contacts from Jolla, then reimport them, seems to be the "best" way currently.

This does not help, since vcardconverter exports only contacts located in phone. Contacts from networks (xmpp, facebook, exchange, .. ) are not exported and can't be linked. With the contacts-tool it's possible to view all accounts, but you can't edit them.
