feature request: map auto-rotation according to heading

The title says it all, please give us an option to auto-adjust map rotation according to heading!
update [1.0.8.19]: it's been months and nothing has happened yet. This is quite an important feature when following directions!
unfortunately the maps aren´t vector based, thus rotating it less than 90 degrees woul make it eithet blurry or distorted. This is why it should be vector based, for one reason.

Whippler ( 2014-08-08 09:19:51 +0200 )edit@Macilaci457: Rotating doesn't lead to serious blurriness or distortion (it's trivial to test) and certainly nothing compared to the blurriness of scaling PNG-tiles between zoom levels. The big thing with vector maps regarding rotation is that you can avoid upside-down text labels. Other than that rotated PNG-tiles are just fine enough and would be really useful.
