The subject says it all.

Cannot enable dev mode, cannot install anything from store. I have waited for 3 days to update. I know someone has been waiting for a long time for updates, but this situation cannot be. Is there anything to do to force the update without the dev-mode?

Out-of-the-box devices should be able to upgrade right away...

yes you can manually search for update. Go to

settings -> system -> Device Info

and the use the pulley menu on the top to search for updates :)

@Karkkka please add that attempt to your original question, now it looks like you can't search manually for update

@Karkkka - I had to ask... :) Too bad it wasn't the problem. :(

OK... Did a factory reset, even thou the device was brand new and in factory reset already. Updating finally. It's kinda weird you have to reset a brand new device.

Good to hear that things worked out nonetheless. ...but yes, it's a bit strange. I wonder what happened.

@Karkkka I agree that it _should_ not happen on a brand new device -- however, please remember that 1.0.0.5 was the very first version we made available, truly deserving the 'beta' status. We've fixed lot's of bugs related to upgrading since then, and with 1.0.2.5 even changed the upgrade mechanism.
