When being faced with a photo scene with to high difference between light and dark parts you will not be able to lock the Automatic Exposure measuring (AE) and then recompose the picture before letting go of the shutter button. This effectively makes the camera worthless to use in any other than perfect lighting conditions for the whole picture.

Having used the camera in high sunlight conditions on my holiday, most of the pictures taken a sunny day, where the main object was in the shadows, where just a waste of storage space, no matter if trying to compensate with the 'exposure compensation' feature.

One solution would be to be able to lock the AE measuring when using spot AF mode after the camera has finished focusing. Another to create an AE-lock button on the screen.

Want this too... Many pics with object in a little dark area in the sunny day is not good... Can't see faces :(
