[BUG] Device Too Hot Shutting Down [duplicate]
So since the last major update (PAARLAMPI), I've been experiencing repeated problems with my Jolla warning me the device is hot followed by device overheating shutting down.
After this, the Jolla will shutdown and occasionally go into a boot loop cycle until I remove the battery. This has only happened running Android apps and sometimes after the device has just been turned on after being powered off all night so clearly isn't running very hot I assume. I do manage Android apps (ie. close unused apps) and this has happened even with just one Android app running.
I understand this has affected other people in 2G mode when the signal is very weak (between 0-1 bar), which it mostly is when in use. In fact most people who have mentioned this issue have discovered that it is this searching for signal which is the main cause, perhaps combined with running an android app.
So clearly this is an issue which needs addressing but has anyone found any fixes to this issue using terminal or otherwise?
Thankful in advance! :-)
BTW, I have searched for an answer to this but couldn't find one so apologies if this has already been solved!
could this be a duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/34828/switching-from-3g-to-2g-caused-overheating/ ?

Figured the more people who posted who were experiencing this issue, the more likely we/Jolla can come up with a solution.
