I have changed the USB connection to "charging only" but still I have tried with all the USB cables I have and the phone would not charge :(, yet if I connect it to Laptop / USB hub it charges without any problems. When the phone was new (or could be older firmware) I managed to get the phone charged only once

When disconnect, msg. comes up that USB cable has been disconnected, my Nokia N85 phone charges without any problems.

Its probably due to the output current of the usb port on the Acer Veriton, that isn't high enough to charge the Jolla. Laptop / USB hub in most cases are able to provide a higher current output, which is why it can charge your Jolla.

Are you using the cable and charger that came with your Jolla? Does it charge when using those?

If you want to use different chargers, make sure the output is 1A. There are USB chargers which output 2.1A.
