Show date during call

This would be nice. But in my opinion, it wouldn't be necessary if you could peek from the side and see the date together with the time – that would keep the call screen cleaner and still allow you to check the date.

I had already voted for the suggestion to show the date, along with the time on the lock screen. I agree it would still be better than the current situation, but also a little inconvenient to have to make a gesture to see the information you need. I personally don't think the date would clutter the call screen, but I'll take any option to easily and quickly see the date and time during a call.

I don't understand this paradigm of hiding information (@ssahla). This is really not intuitive. Only if the screen is already overloaded or the information is rarely needed, we could use peek gestures to get this additional piece. Design goals seem to overrule usability. So, yes, let's just add the date, it's not too much for our brains to digest this! I also often don't remember the current date and need it during a call.

@Stefanix, I'm not pro-"hiding information" myself, hence the suggestion I linked – un-hiding the date system-wide. But I admit you are right in that the call screen is not (yet) cluttered and so adding the date would do no harm there.

Taking a look at the screen during a call is a lot easier and faster than also having to make a gesture. This could be taken even further if we considered also seeing the following meetings from the calendar, or maybe the birthday and other details of the person in the call. But these are to be discussed and voted separately :)
