Close apps by swipe down in home-screen [not relevant]
The apps should be closed by swiping down the active cover in the home/multitasking view instead of long hold/press x -type of thing. This would be consistent with full screen app closing by swipe down.
Swipe down is already used to lock the device, which is IMHO a more practical/logical use for the swipe down gesture on that screen since it's a gesture that isn't applied to any specific app. If swipe down could be interpreted as a close app gesture, then how do you lock the device? Only with the power button, or by returning to the lock screen and then swiping down? No thanks! :)
If you want to close an app you can either long press and close one or more apps, or tap on the app then swipe down. Or just remember to close the app before returning to the multitasking view!

JPS ( 2013-12-28 01:30:34 +0200 )editGrab and hold a specific cover, swipe it down. Use the 5 sec delay function before arranging the rest of the covers. Doesnt sound too complicated to me, but more consistent with the rest of UX.

Milhouse ( 2013-12-28 01:47:52 +0200 )editMilhouse, I'm not sure if you got my point. I'm talking about closing apps from the multitasking view so that the specific app cover would be long pressed and swiped down to close instead of pressing the "X" on the cover of the app to be closed. Nothing more -:)
