Since most of us participating in together are not only "simple" customers but also supporters of an "idea" behind the phone and the company (I suppose) and therefore somehow "emotionally" attached to it ;-) , it would be interesting to know what the plans for the future are, of course provided that these plans can be made public. And I do not mean the roadmap of the Sailfish development, but the bigger picture, i.e. the development of the company itself. New phone, new accessories, new markets etc. Any information that you could provide us with? Unfortunately Stezz's blog (http://stezz.blogspot.nl/) stopped in January. I found the "background" information I got there very interesting ....

Those are business related moves/decisions and i doubt they are something they can discuss in public.

We know some stuff ie. that payed apps are coming soonish (2nd half), the Younited thing (after summer), new phone probably in the early stages of development (please make it smaller) and other stuff here and there.

I would find it offensive for jolla to be developping a new phone, while we that payed alot for an idea of a phone, are still waiting for that idea to fully become reality, with all the reported serious usability bugs yet to be fixed, and without us being able to speed up those fixes because of lack of promissed openness!

@dsilveira: it might seem like Jolla is spending resources on development a new phone in spite of the fact that their first isn't yet complete, but if the new phone runs the same version of Sailfish, then both the new and the first will get the same updates. We don't know yet if the second phone will get more attention from the world, but if it will, it's a win for the first phone too. They're betting resources on that new phone, let's hope their efforts will pay off.

@ApB
+1 on the size.
Hopefully Jolla has two phones in the pipeline. J2 could have the same physical size as the current phone (OH form factor) with updated hardware (resolution, cpu, gpu, etc.). J3 could have roughly the same specs (and firmware) as the current phone but with a smaller form factor. ...at an entry level prize.

As I see it Jolla phone hardware is being developped by some Taiwanese or Chinese OEM based on a feature list given by Jolla and Jolla has most of their hens free to concentrate on the software. Enhancing the OS core features and optimizing its performance and base applications on both old and new hardware as well as on 3rd party hardware (e.g. discarded Samsungs). So I am not worrying them wasting time on new hardware platforms too much. What I worry about is if they will be able to SELL Sailfish OS licenses to me one day.

I still wait for a hardware keyboard, and I have seen people still using old symbian based Nokia phones because they absolute want a "real" keyboard. I know jolla never promised to release a keyboard TOH, but It could be a nice move to show the market that there are still phones with hardware keyboards available.
