[feature-request] Limit data access for Android Apps

I bought Jolla because I don't trust Google and Android Apps. I had a Nokia n900. I wish to be able to decide what data are exposed to Android Apps. I don't know what granularity should be implemented, e.g. if it is necessary to have setting per app. But at least, I want to be able to decide what folder Android apps can see (linking the folder is fine) and if contacts and call logs can be retrieved. Additionally, I wish to limit the access to phone functionality, like retrieve GPS data, make phone calls, send SMS, etc.

as great an idea as this not everybody uses the android apps. And improvements and enhancements in the native OS should be priority imo. The android compatibility is a great stop gap while sailfish gets on its feet. Time could be better spent on sailfish improvements.

Cool idea just for this reason still I'm stuck with S60v3. Our phone, our data, so why should any app use it without our permission?????? Strange that nobody wants to talk or even think about this topic. Jolla!! Can you hear!!

@Lichie00 there is a lots of threads which talk about it, not direct on this exact way. Please take time to make some research here and you will find some thread which talk about concept near of this. for example this and this to speak about concept is easy, to think about it is not so easy, to develop it could quite be easy if the concept is clear. i think Jolla is aware, that the sense of this website. the community see it is aware and jolla-mans are in the community...

There are users, groups and devices. And symbolic link could be also used. So, on the operating system it could be relativley easy.

Maybe we should first try to define what the needs are, then see how to solve it. So, I propose to write here as comments what we would like:

We are getting some new Android settings in upgrade 1.1.7 Björnträsket

most notably

Alien Dalvik (Android support)

Added 'Android Support' settings to Settings > System > in the 'Info' section

Option to prevent Android apps from accessing your contacts
