Did you check

for messages which might give a clue about the background activity? I have neither Facebook nor Exchange configured on my Jolla, so I cannot tell how much energy they consume. But 4 hours does not seem to be normal, at least I hope so.@Duke: if contactsd is always busy, it is probably because it thinks you have constant contact changes that it is trying to export to the third-party contacts database. Can you please contact me at matthew.vogt@jollamobile.com so I can try to determine what the issue is with your device?
MattVogt ( 2014-06-11 01:19:38 +0200 )editI'm also having this problem.
Also, It seems there is something strange with my contact data, some of my contacts have their phone number zillion times in the device, like every times I call them/they call me it adds another new contact with just the phone number, AND links that to the contact of my friend.
And the contact lists shows hundreds of contacts with only the phone number, no name associated with the number.
The CPU consumption bug may be related to these thousands of "ghost contacts".
hkultala ( 2014-07-02 17:55:47 +0200 )editHarmattan contact database had a feature that if same number was connected to two different entries(one from facebook, one from skype from example), it did not recognize it as either and did not show the name who is calling. I think now SailfishOS it's doing the same thing, but adding a new contact entry for every call I get from those people. The UI is smarter and shows the name of my friend who is calling me, but the low-level gets messy and duplicates the entries.
hkultala ( 2014-07-02 17:58:41 +0200 )editRunnin journalctl says only: "No journal files were found."
