Our MS Exchange policies ask for an encrypted device...

Is there a way, I can "lie" to the MS Exchange Server. In Android, I just use a rooted device and tell the Server, yes I am encrypted... Yes, I know this is by far not what is called secure IT, however I really do not want to run around with an Apple device from the office, just to have my e-mails and agenda with me. I am totally willing to lock my device, but device encryption is scyzophrenia...
