I like to switch off auto-scan of my home WLAN network for example if I'm traveling and before connecting to the hotel network.

But that is not possible outside of my home network. In Settings->System->WLAN the LED indicator of my home network is on but I can't switch it off. I'm only able to delete the network. Also edit is not possible outside the range.

And from a usibility point of view I assume it would be possible because the LED indicator is on. Otherwise the network name should also be greyed out if no signal found. But also in this case I would like to switch off auto-scan for privacy reasons.

Maybe put a new entry in the long tap menu.

The usibility issue is also recognisable when switching WLAN completely off or activating internet sharing. Especially with active internet sharing one could think that WLAN (client) connection is still possible. There is no hint in settings. Activating pulley menu "Connect to Internet" displays the message "Oops, no networks found" during active internet sharing.

@anax The first problem not being able to edit or disable auto-connect to particular wlan ssid outside the range is currently a known issue/restriction on connman side. We do have a internal bug about it and we are considering how to fix the issue but currently it's not very high on the priority list.

The second problem is a UX problem and it should get fixed in the next release/update.

Would be great to get conman fixed as it will improve usability.

Any news? I still don't see any change in UX or disable auto-connect with 1.0.8.19.
