Custom The Other Half with extra hardware buttons
Is it feasible that third parties might create TOHs with extra hardware buttons that are specific to their applications? An example I'm thinking of is: a Spotify TOH, where you could be walking down the street listening to music and be able to perform functions like skip to next track or pause, without even taking your phone out of your pocket. (Such a TOH might even have an extra NFC chip to connect to your NFC headphones or NFC receiver)
A colleague of mine does not like the fact that Android buttons take away a part of the screen. A TOH could have the Android buttons and that could be detected, letting Android apps use the entire screen.

But I feel that for Spotify the best option would be a small remote on the heaphones: https://together.jolla.com/question/37040/original-jolla-branded-headphones-is-a-needed-accessory-which-features-would-be-coolessential/

These could be open for application developers to use for their own ends - e.g. could have different functions for camera, spotify, maps, etc. (...nice to think that there may be people here who, unlike me, have the actual skills to build things like this...)
