[Suggestion] Full integration of E-Mail, SMS/MMS in Events View + the ability to load more tweets on demand

I think the events view is useless at the current state.

In order to answer E-Mail or SMS without loading times, I still need to have those 2 applications be opened the whole time. Plus the few amount of tweets forces me to have my twitter app opened as well.

It’s like in android or iOS. You’re just getting notified that something happened without the ability to interact right away.

The events view would be valuable to me if:

  • The default number of tweets could be increased by the user or at least to 200 entrys instead of 10
  • Older tweets would be loaded by scrolling down
  • E-Mails would be integrated like Twitter, with the ability to read, answer and create new Mails without be redirected to the Mail app, which has to be open the whole time if you want to avoid loading times
  • SMS/MMS would also be integrated like Twitter
  • Messanging tools such as Whatsapp would be integrated with fixed entrys with ne number of unread messages in front of the icon, but with redirections instead of full integration

Maybe it should be also considered to:

  • Implement a Tile with configurable swipe actions
  • Think about another gesture to open the events view. For me it’s pretty hard to reach the bottom of the device with the thumb of the hand you’re holding the device with.

I agree with the statement that the events view is useless as it is. You realize it when you don't use facebook and twitter: It's just an empty space in the UI. All it needs is a way for any application to push notifications to this view. It was the highlight of the N9 UI.
