When I set timer, it doesn't start automaticly. I'd like to have option to start it when creating it, eg. checkbox "start now" or "accept" -> "do you want to start timer now?" -> swipe yes/no and done.

/damn my english. :(

// tokaru said it better down there: "When first using the timer function, I instinctively expected it to auto-start, too. I assume that people create a timer for instant usage more often than not. (Actually I cannot think of many use cases where one would configure a timer for later use, like "The cake I am going to bake tomorrow will need to be in the stove for 45min, let's be prepared for that!" ;-)) But if a user actually does not want to use the new timer, they can see very prominently that it is running (because it is highlighted and the time starts to count down), so it is unlikely that someone will have the timer running accidentally."

Note: this was an answer to the question in its original form (a report of a possible bug). The question has been edited into a feature request, so this isn't a valid answer anymore. But I'll leave it here to preserve comments below.

I think that's just how it works; timers are created with "New timer" and started by tapping the circle in the Clock main screen. Not a bug. Sometimes you might not want to start right away but just to define a time period and give the start signal later. But it does add one extra tap when you do want to start immediately.

Maybe edit this this question to be a feature request? When first using the timer function, I instinctively expected it to auto-start, too. I assume that people create a timer for instant usage more often than not. (Actually I cannot think of many use cases where one would configure a timer for later use, like "The cake I am going to bake tomorrow will need to be in the stove for 45min, let's be prepared for that!" ;-)) But if a user actually does not want to use the new timer, they can see very prominently that it is running (because it is highlighted and the time starts to count down), so it is unlikely that someone will have the timer running accidentally.

if you dont delete your timers you can find them later on easier and you dont need to set them just the quick tap on which amount of time you need to be timed

@FOMBE agreed, I am re-using timers often. But I never had the idea to create one in advance, for a later time ;-)
