Don't trim Twitter messages

Currently some Twitter messages are trimmed. Then I have to open a tweet and find out that there is nothing much trimmed, very often just 1-3 words.
As Twitter messages are short by concept, can they not be trimmed?
Messages I checked are trimmed at different positions. It seems that there is some kind of limit of max 4 rows.
And while you are working on Twitter: why are there only 10 messages visible? Why not 100?
